The first tablet from Nokia is here. Meet the Lumia 2520. It is a Windows RT 8.1 device, which packs a 10.1-inch full HD 1080p Gorilla Glass 2 display, 32GB internal storage, and LTE connectivity. It is powered by a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which Nokia says along with the 8000mAh battery — which can charge from zero to 80 percent in one hour — should make the device last up to 10 hours of video playback.
It is equipped with a 6.7-megapixel camera on the back with Zeiss optics and f1.9 aperture that delivers great photos on low-light. A 2-megapixel camera on the front allows for clear video calling. The two camera, along with Nokia Storyteller and Video Director apps, will help you make the most of the media you create.
The Nokia Lumia 2520 runs on Windows RT 8.1, which contains numerous improvements to Microsoft’s operating system for tablets like this. It also comes with a Microsoft Office suite which includes Outlook without additional charge.
The Lumia 2520 will be available in the US, UK and Finland for $499 (yes, with LTE). It will be released on other markets shortly after. It will come in red, cyan, white, and black.
