Smart Communications is continuing to offer more and more prepaid plans (or promos) that allows you to connect with anyone on Smart, Talk 'N Text, and Sun Cellular. Still thanks to the recent merger of PLDT and Digitel. The newest member of those offers is the Tri-Net.
Available in 1 day and 7 day variants, the Smart Tri-Net plans will give you 100 all-net sms + 50 tri-net mins + 5MB for only P30 and/or 500 all-net sms + 120 tri-net mins + 70MB for P100 respectively. The only thing that's still bothering me, and possibly lots of Smart subscribers too is their prefix system that is required to make calls. For example, to make a call to Smart/Talk 'N Text/Sun Cellular if you are subscribred to Tri-Net, you have to dial 5 more characters plus the 11 digit phone number.
Anyway, back the the details. You can avail Tri-Net in either 1 day or 7 day subscriptions. Just text TRINET30 or TRINET100 and send it to 2477. You can use the 'all-net' SMS to send texts to all networks in the Philippines (Smart, Talk 'N Text, Sun Cellular, Globe, and TM), while for the 'tri-net' minutes is only for Smart, Talk 'N Text, and Sun Cellular, hence, the Tri-Net name.
Oh and before I forgot, the Tri-Net plans also includes 5MB and 70MB of mobile data for the 1 day and 7 day variants respectively. Of course, this is meant to be used on mobile phones only.
Unless Smart extends or makes this a permanent offer, the Tri-Net will only be available until April 2, 2012.
