Samsung GALAXY Note II to be launched in the Philippines on October 16, in stores by October 20 (update)

Samsung Philippines just confirmed to me that they will be launching the Samsung GALAXY Note II here in the country on October 16.

Samsung GALAXY Note II Philippines

The GALAXY Note II was announced on August 29 at IFA 2012. It packs a slightly larger 5.5-inch display than the original GALAXY Note, a zippy 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8 Megapixels camera, and LTE connectivity (market dependent).

If the large GALAXY Note 10.1 (our review coming soon!) is not your type, then you may want to hold on your money for a little while, as the smaller phablet will be formally launched here on October 16 and will be in the stores near you by October 20 and will have an SRP of P32,990. You can also get it with a 2-year contract on SMART or Globe.

I heard the version with multi-windows capability varies from one region to another, I hope Samsung Mobile Philippines will be releasing the version with the said capability.

The multi-window feature is coming to all Note II's thru a software update.

Well you'd have to check the firmware version. When you go to a store, ensure that the NOte 2 phone that you're buying has this firmware version: N7100xxalh
