Mobile Phone Recycling Explained in 2 Minutes

Do you previously owned one of these phones? Is it sitting in your drawer? Change your mind, recycle your old phones. Nokia has just uploaded a video on YouTube explaining all about recycling mobile phones.

Here are the highlights of the video:

  • What was previously precious to you is the most precious forms of waste
  • It contains almost every element in the periodic table
  • 300 times richer than the ores they extract from earth
  • Nokia has the largest phone recycling network
  • They recycle phones from almost 100 countries around the world
  • Recycled materials from old phones can be used to build many things, from park benches to a newer phone
  • Nokia has collected 415 tonnes of phones, batteries, and accessories in 2010
